Smart Infrastructure is the operational engine room of eVillage and of the Renewed Hope Agenda's electrification mandate. Every other pillar — Governance, Economy, People, Living — depends on the assumption that the lights actually come on, that the smart meter reports its consumption faithfully, that the inverter inverts, and that when a component fails, it gets repaired before the household even notices.
The technical stack is a Distributed Energy Resources Management System (DERMS) orchestrating thousands of solar home systems, mini-grids, batteries, and smart meters as a single coordinated fleet. IoT telemetry from every device streams to the central operations layer at 15-second granularity. Asset performance is measured against contractual SLAs negotiated with financiers. Predictive maintenance models flag failures before they happen, automatically dispatching the nearest accredited installer with a pre-confirmed parts order — compressing mean time to repair to under four hours and protecting both household uptime and lender returns. The smart-meter layer is fully PMI-compliant and contributes meter-level consumption data back to the federal Presidential Metering Initiative.
